The grouping of Quad of India, Australia, Japan, and the United States said it strongly opposed unilateral actions that seek to change the status quo or increase tension in Indo-Pacific, in the midst of Chinese intimidatory behavior that is increasingly intimidated in the region.

China claims that almost all of the disputed South China Sea, although Taiwan, the Philippines, Brunei, Malaysia and Vietnam all claim their parts.
Beijing has built artificial islands and military installations in the South China Sea. China also has territorial disputes with Japan in the East China Sea.
China and India are also involved in protracted military deadlock in East Ladakh.
India has consistently retained that peace and calm along the actual control line are the key to the development of the overall bilateral bonds.
During the meeting, they also underlined Quad’s support that was unwavering for the UN Charter, including their three pillars, and their firm commitment to strengthen and reform the UN system and international.
“Quad confirms its support for the United Nations which solves the consequence challenges of our day and protects our resources that are distributed and interconnected. This includes the full implementation of the 2030 agenda for sustainable development, and the achievement of sustainable development goals,” the four ministers of The Four The Four The Minister , The Four Minister, the four ministers said.
The leaders say they are committed to advancing the comprehensive UN reform agenda, including through the expansion of permanent and non-permanent seats from the UN Security Council so that the council reflects the current global reality and combines a more geographically more diverse perspective.
“We underline the need to overcome efforts to unilaterally subvert the international and multilateral systems, including at the United Nations.
“We welcome progress in providing quad’s commitment. Specifically, we are happy to sign the guidelines to operationalize quad humanitarian assistance and disaster assistance partnership for Indo-Pacific announced by Quad leaders in May 2022,” they said.
Foreign ministers said they were waiting for the ratio-terrorism table training organized by Australia later in 2022.
“We, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Quad, decided that our vision for multilateral quad cooperation will be based on action-oriented involvement for the benefit of people throughout Indo-Pacific,” they said.
They intended to meet directly for the next Quad’s Foreign Minister’s meeting in New Delhi in early 2023.
