Moscow denied the intention to attack its neighbors, but had demanded that the NATO alliance permanently put aside Ukraine’s offer for membership and called for the withdrawal of Western troops deployed in Eastern Europe since the end of the Cold War.

Macron-putin call

The Summit announcement came a few moments after Macron held a second marathon call with Putin of the Day.
