New Delhi: As an Indian citizen from Ukraine who hit the war back through special flights compiled as part of Ganga’s operation – India’s evacuation mission for its citizens stranded in the midst of a raging war – several union ministers today look to welcome them on their landing and enhancing their slogans “Bharat Ki Jai (Long Live Mother India)” and “Vande Mataram (praise to the country)”. This Grand Welcome came when the Indian government faced bitter criticism from opposition parties and many residents after the murder of an Indian student by Russian shooting in Kharkiv yesterday. Videos of Indian students who were stranded criticized the officials of the Indian Embassy because they were not responsive and parents and friends who were highly requested for help have flooded social media when Russia increased its attack on the former Soviet Republic.

In the video tweeted by Ani’s news agency, the Iranian minister of Smriti can be seen to welcome students on the Indigo Airlines plane. Speaking into the public address system, he said the evacuated Indians had shown “the courage that was exemplary” in “the most challenging time”.

“I thank you for your resilience, because of your courage and patience,” he said and lead the slogan “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”. He also thanked the airline crew for their services.

Another video from the news agency showed Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh could be seen interacting with students who held a large Indian flag. He convinced students that there was no need to worry and that Prime Minister Narendra Modi made all efforts to restore other students too. He then welcomed them with roses and encouraged them to shout “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”.

On the Microblogging Koo website, Minister of General VK Singh has posted similar videos about him speaking to students in the plane where students shouted “Vande Mataram”. General Singh is one of the four union ministers assigned by the government by traveling to neighboring countries Ukraine to personally supervise the evacuation of India stranded.

Minister of Hardeep Singh Puri, the other of the four ministers who flew to Ukrainian countries bordering to supervise evacuation, booked videos on his Twitter account where he could see interact with students. “Thank God all of you are fine,” he said to a smiling crowd. He claimed that “There is no other country in the world that does this,” it seems to refer to Indian evacuation efforts. “Wherever someone is, the prime minister is committed to bringing each of you,” he said, adding that the Minister of External Affairs Dr. Jaishankar personally monitored the evacuation effort.
