A three -year -old girl woke up in her own funeral after the doctor mistakenly declared her death. The incident occurred in Mexico on August 17, according to local El Universal publications. The mother of the girl, Camila Roxana Martinez Mendoza, accused the local hospital of negligence for telling her that she died. The family took a toddler to the hospital after he had stomachache, vomiting and fever in his hometown in Villa de Ramos, the outlet said further.
Local pediatrician tells the girl’s mother Mary Jane Mendoza to take her to a larger hospital. But at the same time, the doctor also prescribed paracetamol when removing a three -year -old child.
The mother told El Universal that Camila’s condition continued to deteriorate after that she took her to another doctor. He prescribed a different medicine and asked mothers to give fruits and toddlers water.
However, there was no improvement in his condition after that the family brought the girl to the hospital emergency room.
The New York Post quoted the mother said that the hospital staff took a long time to place oxygen on him. After 10 minutes of placing it on intravenous liquids, the doctors took it off and asked MS Mendoza to “let him rest calmly”, according to the outlet.
The doctors declared dehydration as the official reason for the girl’s death.
The next day, when the funeral was held, MS Mendoza noticed that the glass panel in his daughter’s coffin was mysteriously cloudy. The mourners initially refused his words, saying he could not bear the loss of his child and “hallucinate”, the post said.
But the little girl’s grandmother saw Camila’s eyes moving and surprisingly found that she had a pulse.
The girl was brought back to the hospital with an ambulance where doctors could not try to revive her and declare she died again – this time from cerebral edema (brain swelling), the post after the report.
MS Mendoza has now submitted a case of doctors who stated it died. The woman told El Universal that she did not hold a grudge against health professionals, but wanted them to be charged so that “this did not happen again”.
