Magnetic mucus robot sounds less like something with practical medical aims and more like creatures from films, but such discoveries have the potential to be used to help patients. It was created by a group of scientists from Hong Kong, China, which was intended to maneuver throughout the body and take objects that must be issued. The quality of mucous robots is what makes it perfect for this. According to Cnet, it is made from non-Newtonian fluids, a combination of polyvinyl and borax alcohol. This means that when affected by a high -speed force, it acts as a solid object. With slower strength, it acts as a liquid.

This makes it ideal to navigate through countless angles and small gaps. Much more difficult to remove objects from the body with a completely solid tool. However, with something that is forged, like a magnetic mucus robot, it can be easier. This is called “magnetic” because it can be controlled by magnets, allowing doctors to get mucus to go straight to the place needed. Mucus can then reach and summarize objects, move them out of the body.

How the slime robot can be used medically

Researchers who make mucus robots have suggested that the main use for this technology will be in the digestive system (through guardians.) In this way, it can be used to take foreign objects that have been swallowed and need to be removed from the body. One example is in preventing the dangers of objects such as batteries. Leakage of a toxic battery, but if the mucus captures and wrapping it, this will prevent chemicals that cause chaos in the body.

However, there are still some problems with magnetic mucus robots. And the concept has not been tested. One problem is that the layer of mucus is made of silica, the same material in small packages on items intended to make it remain fresh that is always read “Don’t eat.” That’s because they are poisonous to the body. Hypothetical, having silica coated mucus in the body for a short time will be safer, and can be commensurate if there are foreign objects with more potential to harm (through guardians).

Magnetic mucus robot needs to be tested in the medical environment so that it can be used in the future, and there are no plans to do it. But, it is not entirely impossible that in the future, this mucus can save the lives of some people.
