We don’t know if Virgin River will be renewed for a fourth season, let alone a fifth, sixth, or seventh, but considering the show’s enormous popularity and almost frequent cliffhangers, we’ll probably see more of Mel and Jack in the future.

The third season of Virgin River concluded in a cliffhanger for several of the characters, including Preacher, who was assassinated by a former friend of Paige’s to keep him out of the way of a scheme to abduct Christopher, and of course, Mel and Jack, who are dealing with the fallout from Mel’s announcement that she’s pregnant—but they don’t know if the father is Jack or her late ex-husband Mark. Paige is anticipated to come back, presumably with Christopher, after skipping the entire season 3.
