A 73 -year -old woman was stabbed by a screen fish that jumped out of the water off the coast of Florida. The incident occurred last week when Katherine Perkins stood on the ship while two of her friends tried to enter, according to a report on Fox News. Quoting the Sheriff Office of Martin Regency, the outlet said that the fish crashed into the woman in the groin area with her bills. The beach where the incident occurred, located two miles north of Palm Beach, said the Sheriff Office.
MS Perkins friends took him to the local hospital to be treated. He was reported in a critical condition.

Stuart, a small town close to a place where MS Perkins was stabbed, known as the capital of Sailfish in the world. The women have caught the 100 pound screen fish while sailing on the ship.

MS Perkins friends pulled the fish on the fishing rod when suddenly jumped out of the water and attacked the 73-year-old man. MS Perkins told the police that the incident occurred so fast that he did not have time to react, Fox News said in the news report.

Sailfish is one of the fastest fish species and like todak fish, a rounded long spear that extends from its snout. They can grow up to 11 feet.

Sailfish is a strong warrior and is known to dive. They mainly eat other fish.

According to Encyclopaedia Britannica, Sailfish is categorized into two sub-species: Indo-Pacific Screen Fish and Atlantic Screen Fish.

Sailfish fish can be distinguished from relevant species, such as Marlin, with a slimmer shape, long pelvic fins and dorsal fins like large screens, said Encyclopedia.
