Morocco: Love in Times of War (also known as Tiempos de Guerra) is a period drama war series that has been streaming exclusively on Netflix since 2018, in practically every area. Now, four years after debuting on Netflix in February 2022, it’s poised to go.

Morocco: Love in Times of War is a controversial war drama set in 1920s Melilla, a Moroccan city in Northern Africa, that premiered in September 2017 on the Spanish network Antena 3.

Story of the film

The story follows nursing trainees from Madrid’s upper class as they build a hospital for Rif War troops in Melilla, where they discover camaraderie and romance while saving lives. Alicia Borrachero, Amaia Salamanca, Verónica Sánchez, Cristóbal Suárez, José Sacristán, Lex Garca, and Anna Moliner were among the cast members of the limited series (which was never renewed for a second season).

A total of 13 episodes were created and released on Netflix on January 18th, 2018. On Netflix, it was one of our favorite Spanish-language series.

What is the reason for the departure of a Netflix Original?

This has been a fairly typical occurrence in recent years, especially with the departure of prior Netflix Originals. It all boils down to licensing, as we’ve discussed extensively.

Even though they are all labeled the same, there are four different sorts of Netflix Originals. The distribution rights of Morocco: Love in Times of War is controlled by Atresmedia Televisión and are exclusively licensed to Netflix for a limited time.
