Kyiv: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on Wednesday mocked Moscow’s insistence that the war against his people went well, asking how President Vladimir Putin could approve a plan involving so many Russians.
Putin, spoke on Tuesday, said Russia would reach all the purposes of “noble” and “rhythmically and calmly” continued what was called a special operation.

Moscow said on March 25, the latest update, that 1,351 soldiers had been killed since the start of the campaign. Ukraine said the number was actually closer to 20,000.

“In Russia once again said that what is called ‘special operation’ should go according to plan. But, to be honest, no one in the world who understands how such plans can even happen,” Zelenskiy said in a video address.

“How could a plan that sets the death of tens of thousands of their own soldiers in a little more than a month of war happening? Who can agree to such a plan?”

Zelenskiy asked how many Russian soldiers to be accepted for Putin, gave a range of tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands.

Moscow has lost more men in 48 days since the war began in the Afghan war of 10 years from 1979 to 1989, he said.

Zelenskiy said that while some have made fun of Russia, their failure in the fields and inferior technology, their opponents were not all desperate.

“We must understand that not all Russian tanks are trapped in the fields, not all enemy soldiers only run away from the battlefield and not all are military service who do not know how to hold weapons correctly,” he said.

“This does not mean that we must be afraid of them. This means that we should not reduce the achievements of our fighters, our troops.”
