Zarifa Ghafari was the first woman of Afghanistan Mayor of Maidan Shahr City who is west of Kabul. She is one of those who fled Afghanistan ripped by the war after a Taliban control.

The first woman of the first Afghan woman, who fled to Germany recently, blamed the inhabitants of her country for the return of the power of the Taliban. Zarifa Ghafari said the people did not raise their votes against terrorism.

“For all Afghanistan faces today, everyone must be blamed, including local people, politicians, children and the international community. Local populations have never raised their voices against all the false , including terrorism, “said Ghafari at the ANI press agency.

The 26 years said she was now considering meeting high ranking officials, politicians and women from different countries to draw attention to the crisis in Afghanistan.

“My goal is to meet top leaders, politicians and women from different countries to raise awareness of the real situation in Afghanistan and ask them to join me for the beginning of a movement.”

Ghafari said Taliban fighters have a list of people who took a liberal approach and killed people one by one. She said that insurgents even visited his house and beat his safety guards.

“Taliban was in my house, they asked me and they caught my car, they beat my guards. They were looking for us,” she told Ani.

The Taliban seized Afghanistan’s control following the withdrawal of US forces. Their offensive, launched in May, resulted in the capture of Kabul after which the civilian government fled the country ripped by the war.

The United States said they returned Afghanistan by August 31, a President Joe Biden refused to extend it further on Tuesday. The Taliban had warned consequences if the withdrawal of US forces is delayed.
