Colombo: Hundreds of people who protested near the house of President Sri Lanka Gotabaya Rajapaksa changed with violence on Thursday, with at least one critical injured man. The population sewed the handling of the government from the economic crisis that paralyzed the country.

Security forces shot into the crowd and used tear gas and water cannons to dissolve the demonstrators, which demanded the resignation of President Rajapaksa.

The protesters burned the army bus parked across the path that leads to Rajapaksa’s house in the Mirihana Colombo housing quarter, and police vehicle.

President Rajapaksa was not at home for close range, the AFP news agency reported.

The capital of Sri Lanka, Colombo is placed under unlimited hours of night after violence.
