Gymnasiums and yoga institutes are now allowed to operate 50% capacity of the National Capital.

The Government of Delhi has relaxed the borders from Monday after a dip of the Covid-19 positivity rate of the city. The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) on Saturday has published new guidelines for Delhi Unlock Phase 5 and stated that prohibited and restricted activities will continue until 5 am on July 5th.

DDMA also discussed the situation of the Delhi metro exterior stations, marked by long queues due to a cap of the capacity of the seats at 50% of each train coach. However, restrictions in the subway will remain for at least one week.

Last week, Delhi allowed the shops to remain open throughout the week and markets to open a partial workforce as the daily cases of COVID-19 showed a downward trend.

Delhi was under a lock between April 19th and May 30th while the second wave of Covid-19 was raging the city. The city began to unlock in phases of May 31 with permission of factories in industrial areas and construction activities to resume. On June 7, markets, shopping centers and Delhi metro services were allowed to open 50% capacity and as of June 14, the 50% Cap has been removed in case of markets and shopping centers. Subsequently, parks and public gardens and bars were allowed to reopen.

The National Capital announced Sunday 89 new cases of Covid-19, remaining below 100 cases for the second day of the day-to-day positivity Covid-19 remained at 0.12%, according to the health newsletter. With four other dead reported Sunday, Delhi’s Covid toll reached 24,965.
