With filming has been wrapped, we are now waiting for Netflix to announce the release date for the Cobra Kai season 5. Most of the predictions seem we will get 2022 summer releases but we have to wait to find out. This is our great preview of everything we know so far about Cobra Kai Season 5 on Netflix, including the production timeline, what is expected, gives news, and the future of the show too.
As far as Netflix ContinuTiitions left, Cobra Kai has become one of the most successful Netflixs, comparable to people like theft Lucifer and money. This series already has a large and loyal fanbase of time as a red / original youtube series, but once the series makes a leap to Netflix, the popularity is skyrocketed.
Cobra Kai has wrapped his fifth season
Josh Hald has stated that the writer’s room was held to write the fifth season in early July 2021.
Film Making then began on September 20, 2021 and was wrapped in December 19, 2021.
Cobra Kai Co-Creator Jon Hurwitz and Josh Hedd post photos that confirm the news they wrap the fifth season on Twitter along with the text “five. Fin.”
Again, the program was filming in Atlanta, Georgia. However, this season we will travel remembering that we will see Miguel looking for his father in Mexico. Jon Hurwitz has confirmed that the 5-season parts are filmed in Puerto Rico.
Post-production then began and in early March 2022, we got a tweet from Zach Robinson (the old composer of the show) that they were in producing scores for the fifth season.
In a tweet on March 3, 2022 revealed that they were in the process of printing episodes 1 to 3 and that he and Leo Birenberg returned.
On April 17 on Twitter Dmptu Ama, Jon Hurwitz renewed us in season 5 that said:
“S5 was fully edited and amazing! Still mixed the second half and worked on our composer. Loved some new music themes!”
After the score is concluded with editing, it will be submitted to Netflix for localization which means loading the subtitle for dozens of languages, dubbing and prepared to be launched on Netflix.
When is the release date of Cobra Kai Season 5?
Netflix hasn’t confirmed when the fifth season Cobra Kai will be released, however, with filming we can give you a rough estimate and it is expected that we get it faster than the previous season each falling around Christmas.
The fourth season was filmed between January 20, 2021, and April 15, 2021. It was later released in December 2021. If the fifth season is to follow the same schedule, we can see the release of July 2022 or August 2022.
Josh Hald said that he predicted that the show would be released in the same pattern as the previous two seasons in the interview but decided to finally descend to Netflix.
Cobra Kai for features at the Festival “Netflix is a joke” Netflix
Before we plunged into what we know about season 5, we want to quickly mention that Cobra Kai Cast and the crew will take place at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on May 5, 2022 for a special panel.

What is expected from Cobra Kai Season 5
Terry Silver took over Cobra Kai and Valley
With Kreasese framed because of a stinging sting attack, Terry Silver is free to fully take over Cobra Kai and spread his vision to Dojo.
With some COBRA KAI DOJOS is only expected to appear throughout the valley, expect a significant increase in new students, which can cause hostility between Cobra Kai and DOJOS rival students.
Hurwitz has stated that in season 5 we can see the silver plan “fully realized” adding that he would expand the Cobra Kai franchise.
Miyagi did go to war with Cobra Kai (again)
Unable to make peace in an uncomfortable way Cobra Kai set out to win the Valley tournament, Daniel Larusso will conflict with his own words and continue to teach students in Miyagi-do Dojo.
To help his struggle against Cobra Kai, Daniel had asked for help Cherzen Toguchi, his old enemy and a new friend, who is currently sensei from Miyagi-do Karate in Okinawa.
In an interview with TV channels, the executive producer Josh Heal has the following to say about the return of the cherpen that will come in Cobra Kai season 5:
We clearly knew that Chozen returned to folds, and Daniel, which we found at the depth of his fall, felt defeated and felt like he made a deal with Devil. He realized that allowing Miyagi-do would be extinguished in this way not suitable. There are times when the fight must change, and what moments are better than to Chozen to return to this story and to rely on the Miyagi section. Chapen is someone who binds a more aggressive past where the battle is not about the contest, it’s about life and death. Anthony Learns Karate?
After intimidating Anthony without stopping from Kenny New-Kid, he tried to redeem Cobra Kai students at the All Valley tournament, only because of his intimate intimidation to be a disturbance when they graduated to high school.
Daniel prepares to start teaching Anthony Karate, and to defend himself, against Kenny, Anthony may have no choice but to learn karate.
Speaking to Afterbuzz TV Griffin Santopietro talked about the upcoming season of his character who said:
“One of my favorite things about next season is that you see Anthony continue to grow as a person. He feels bad for what he is doing to Kenny.”
Robby and Tory to leave Cobra Kai?
Despite switching, Robby has tried to find a middle ground between Miyagi-do and Cobra Kai philosophy. The tragic realization that Kenny’s assistance has led to the creation of bully, and the person who intended to bully the younger brother of his ex-girlfriend, had led the young man to seek his father’s support.
Johnny will definitely push Robby to leave Cobra Kai, however, feel guilty, Robby can stay with Dojo to make up for his mistake with Kenny’s guidance.
As for Tory, the women’s champion of all the valleys hear Terry pay off the referee, who really tarnished his victory. Just like Robby, he will find himself at a crossroads that can take him to leave Cobra Kai.
Miguel found his father
Unbeknownst for Miguel, he did not realize that his biological father did not know he was there. Above being a “bad man” if Miguel found his father, he could open the door in his life that he could never close again.
Johnny intends to go to Mexico City to find his young student, but know Johnny he will get himself into all types of problems, especially if there is a confrontation with Miguel’s father.
If Johnny can convince Miguel to return home, hoping Miguel’s father can follow right behind.
Kry Behind the Cross
KRESE has been framed due to stinging sting attack, and ironically the only person who might be able to save Cobra Kai Sensei is a former Johnny Lawrence student. Johnny was the victim of the attack by Terry Silver, so he was returning from Mexico, he might be the only hope of Krese who came out of prison.

Casting News
Even though the fifth season has been wrapped up, we have not studied every member of the new actor, in particular, the casting of Miguel’s father who is not named.
During the last few seasons’ Finales, we always have instructions that some of the characters return are on their way. For season 5, there are no instructions coming but given Terry Silver will return, some speculate old Terry friends including Mike Barnes and the right SEAN character of Karate Kid 3. Time will tell them.
On the possibility of a new face appearing in Cobra Kai Season 5, Jon Hurwitz has said:
“There is a lot of madness; if you are a franchise fan, maybe some familiar faces appear, maybe not; there will be many karates.”
Does Cobra Kai have been updated for the sixth season?
When writing Netflix has not announced whether Cobra Kai has been updated or not for the sixth season. The update for the fifth season was announced when Netflix revealed the 4 season release date.
If the sixth season is in work, we suspect we will learn updates around when we study the release date of Cobra Kai season 5.
It should also be noted that Netflix has not claimed earlier that season 5 is the last of the show, which highly recommend us will get more than Cobra Kai outside the fifth season.
Speaking with deadlines about the possibility of the sixth season recently, Hayden Schlossberg said:
“We have a final problem. How many seasons are needed to get there, we don’t know. We enjoy making it so much. If it’s tiring to us, we will stop before that; we have a few more planned seasons.”
We have heard several times the creator has planned six seasons so hopefully, they can fulfill that dream.
We also have to record many rumors (including some of the few good sources) that it already exists or still plans to spin-off for Cobra Kai. In particular, we have heard the roar of the Prequel series for Miyagi.
On April 17 Hurwitz tempt the upcoming projects say:
“Josh, Hayden, and I have a company together calling responsibility. We have a lot of fun in the shop outside Cobra Kai, both inside and outside Miyagiverse. Must have some fun things to be announced soon!”
