The Central Investigation Bureau on Thursday conducted a search in 19 locations throughout the country after registering a case against a private company on charges of efforts to manipulate the Jee (HARS) exam which was ongoing 2021, said people who were familiar with these developments.

Raids coincided with the Session 4 Jee (Parent) exam which was held on Thursday, the last of the test string carried out by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Joshi said people accused of facilitating prospective students to get entrance tickets to the National Institutes of Technology by breaking the Petitioner’s question paper through remote access from the selected inspection center in Sonepat (Haryana).

“It was also the allegation that the defendant used to get Xth and XIith Mark Sheets, user ID, password, and post-date examination of prospective students in various parts of the country as security and after receipt was carried out, they were used to collect heavy amounts from 12 -15 lakh (around) per candidate, “he said.
