Citra Ratu Elizabeth has become a familiar sight of the British bank records, pound coins, and stamps. However, many have pondered what will happen to the image of the king’s icon in the British coin because the nation is now grieving. They have questioned whether their image will still be printed on money and whether it will still be accepted as a legal tender.
The Bank of England stated that on September 9 that banknotes and coins that read the king’s picture would continue to be accepted by the form of payment. Queen Elizabeth was the first king to appear on Bank of Bank of England.

“The current banknotes that display the noble image of the Queen will continue to be a legal tender. Further announcements regarding the existing Bank of England banknotes will be made once the mourning period has been observed,” Bank of England said in a statement.

The bank said that the formal declaration regarding the country’s currency would be made seven days after the funeral of the queen, after the official mourning time was completed.

The funeral of Queen Elizabeth will be arranged on Monday 19 September.

Commonwealth, grouping of 54 countries which almost all British colonies also display images of queens in various banknotes and coins.

This will be a big task for the Bank of England, who prints state banknotes, and Royal Mint, which produces its coins, to remove the cash from circulation and replace it with bills carrying the image of Raja Charles III.

The central bank estimates that there are more than 4.7 million banknotes worth a total of £ 82 billion ($ 95 billion) circulating in the UK. According to Royal Mint, there are also around 29 billion coins circulating.

The new currency may be introduced gradually and live side by side as a legal tender with previous records and coins for a while.

Charles -themed coins must be released by the Royal Mint of Britain.

Since Raja Charles II rose to the throne in the 17th century, British coinage has followed the habit in which the new leader’s vization is described at the opposite direction of its predecessor. Elizabeth faces coins, but Charles is expected to appear facing left.
