New Delhi: The entire Sri Lankan cabinet apart from President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Sibling Mahinda Rajapaksa resigned from their post on Sunday when the political clan that came to the ruling to resolve the increasing economic crisis.
South Asian countries face severe shortages, fuel, and other essence – together with a record of crippling inflation and deductions – in its most painful decline since the independence from the UK in 1948.
President Rajapaksa expressed an emergency throughout the country on Friday, in the face of growing public riots. He said the decision was taken for public security purposes, public order protection, and to ensure important inventory and service maintenance.
