Dubai: The United Arab Emirates taped and destroyed two Houthi ballistic missiles targeting the Gulf State on Monday without victims, the defense ministry said, following a deadly attack a week before.

For more than six years, Houthis has fought against the Saudi coalition which includes UAE, repeatedly carried out cross-border missile attacks and drone attacks in Saudi Arabia, launched an unprecedented attack on the UAE on January 17.

“The remnants of ballistic missiles were intercepted down in separate areas around Abu Dhabi,” said the ministry in a statement, added that it took the protection measures needed against all attacks.

Monday’s attack was the second in the UAE land since last week’s strike that hit fuel depots in the capital, Abu Dhabi, killed three people, and caused a fire near his international airport.

Houthi-Run Al Masirah Television Channel said the group would announce in several hours of detail “extensive military operations” against Saudi Arabia and UAE.

Sunday night, the media of the state of Saudi said a Houthi ballistic missile had fallen in the South Kingdom, injuring two foreigners and damaging workshops and vehicles in the industrial area.

The Saudi LED coalition has increased air strikes about what is described as the Houthi target in Yemen.

At least 60 people were killed when the strike hit a temporary detention center in the northern province of Sadaa on Friday, and around 20 was killed in the capital Houthi Sanaa in operation on Tuesday.
