Xiaomi wore Apple to become a vendor band that can be used in the world in the second quarter of this year, according to data published by Canalys. Xiaomi’s solid performance during April to June seems “supported by the launch of MI Band 6,” which is the best company fitness tracker.

“Xiaomi made wise steps to accelerate the release of the MI 6 band, which is a more interesting device than its predecessor,” said analyst Canalys Cynthia Chen. The company also benefits from the launch of basic smartwatches in developing country markets such as India.

Not surprisingly, Apple continued to lead the global smart market, with a share of 31.1%. Apple sent a total of 7.9 million smartwatches in Q2 2021, registering 29.4% growth compared to the same period the previous year.

Huawei maintained third place, thanks to sustainable success in the Chinese market. The company sent 3.7 million ribbons that could be used during the quarter and captured the global market share of 9.2%.

The global band market can be used to have grown by 5.6% YoY during the second quarter, with a total shipping reaching 40.9 million units. While the sale of basic fitness ribbons continues to decline, it is balanced by the growth of smartwatch delivery globally. Smartwatch now accounts for 62% of the entire band market that can be used. Canalys expect smartwatches to continue to be “key growth drivers for band categories that can be used for years to come.”
