Two people were killed and 14 others were injured on Saturday in the shooting at a nightclub and on the closest roads in the capital of Norwegian Oslo, Norwegian police said.
A suspect who is believed to be the sole perpetrator was arrested, the police told reporters.
The crime scene was extended from Pub London through a neighboring club and so on to the nearest road where the suspect was arrested a few minutes after the shooting began, the police spokesman tore Barstad to the Aftenposten newspaper.
London Pub is a gay bar and a popular nightclub at Oslo’s center.
I saw a man arriving with a bag, he took a gun and started shooting,” Journalist Olav Roenneberg from the NRK public announcer reported.
It is not clear what the motive of the attack is.
Oslo will hold his annual pride parade on Saturday.
Two people were confirmed to have died,” Oslo Police Department said in a tweet.
About 14 people were taken to the hospital, some with severe injuries, said the police.
Photographs published by the VG newspaper, NRK broadcasters and others showed many emergency respondents outside the London PUB, including police workers and ambulances.
The helicopter drifted over the center of Oslo while the ambulance and the police car siren were heard throughout the city.
